VitrA Contemporary Architecture Series Presents: Please Do Not Disturb, an exhibition on the holiday concept situated in the Istanbul Modern. The concept behind our work is rooted in the juxtaposition of the architectural representation (perfectly trimmed grass, crisp colours on roof tops, clear blue skies..) and the aftermath of some of those represented environments (neglected summer houses, decaying all-you-can-eat-free-buffet set-ups..). We have looked into the graphic tools that is used in the architectural language, mainly the patterns and old “Letraset”s and started to corrupt them.
The design work has two components, the first is the autonomous exhibition identity and graphics, including the catalogue; meanwhile a second route involves the insertion of an illustration into the existing communication templates of the Museum.
